Process Paper
Why we chose our topic:
We chose to do the 19th amendment because it was one of the greatest impact for women and their rights. Throughout history women had endured many encounters where their opinions did not matter. From time to time women gained more freedom and control over things that they could not before, not just in America but throughout the world. It’s amazing how women went from not being allowed to own property, to women fighting for equality and now their are women who are apart of things such as congress and running for president. This is why we chose to do the 19th amendment because it was the most inspiring time for women and this amendment helped make it amazing.
Explanation of research:
The books provided more useful information.Out of all these resources the most helpful resource we found was the book. The books provided many quotes, and helped us in explaining why the 19th amendment was the greatest amendment. Next, the most helpful was the online databases. We used a database such as ABC-CLIO. It provided us with primary sources that we could not find on any other websites. Lastly, the next helpful source was the online articles, it provided what the 19th amendment has stated.
The library was very helpful, it helped us find the books and discover ABC-CLIO.
Mrs. Whiton showed us what books might be helpful to us and to our topic. She also showed us how to use online databases. She also helped us choose articles that went with our topic.
Problems:
The only problem the group encountered was finding a legit primary resource. Luckily, we found two that were valid to be a primary resource. Other than that, there were no other problems as to finding any research. The group had three helpful books from the library and plenty of websites(articles, sites, databases) to supply us with secondary research notes.
